What is the size of CLab-Capper? Can it be placed on a desktop?
Yes. CLab-Capper is a compact desktop device with dimensions of 295 mm (W) × 450 mm (D) × 445 mm (H), making it suitable for bench-top use.
How efficient is CLab-Capper?
CLab-Capper can complete whole-plate cap opening in ≤20 seconds, helping improve workflow efficiency in cryogenic sample handling.
What models are available?
The CLab-Capper series includes two models: CLab-Capper 96 and CLab-Capper 48. The model can be selected according to the consumable specification used in your workflow.
What tube specifications does CLab-Capper support?
CLab-Capper 96 supports SBS-format cryovials for 96-well plates, including 0.5 mL, 0.75 mL, and 1.0 mL tubes. CLab-Capper 48 supports SBS-format cryovials for 48-well plates, including 2.0 mL tubes.
Can CLab-Capper work with cryovials from other brands?
Yes, but non-MGI cryovials should be reviewed by the engineering team before purchase. The cap-opening spiral head can then be designed according to the cap pattern of the sample tube.
Can the device support batch cap opening and closing?
Yes. CLab-Capper includes dedicated accessories for placing tube caps, along with matching programs, to support batch cap opening and closing.
Does CLab-Capper support automated operation?
Yes. It supports program-controlled integration and remote operation through its network interface, making it suitable for hands-free and high-efficiency workflows.
What safety features does CLab-Capper include?
The device is equipped with an emergency stop switch, and the process can also be ended through the control software for added operational safety.
