D4

The D4 is a fully enclosed digital microfluidic system that consolidates multiple functional modules into a single instrument, enabling all library preparation steps to run on one cartridge in a fully automated process. Simply load nucleic acids (DNA and/or RNA) and retrieve the finished double-stranded DNA library or DNB, complete with product concentration data. Its enclosed design prevents aerosol formation, ensuring contamination-free library preparation.

By removing manual transfers, the D4 speeds up workflows and can complete DNA-to-DNB preparation with quantification in as little as 2.5 hours using the elab-D4RS Fast PCR-Free FS Library Prep Kit. Suited to whole genome sequencing, metagenomics, targeted sequencing, and library conversion, it offers a fast, reliable, and streamlined solution for sequencing applications.
