MGI and Curetis Showcase Next-Generation Molecular Microbiology Solutions at 28th ECCMID

MGI and Curetis will be attending the 28th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) in Madrid, Spain, from 21–24 April 2018. Visit booth #79, hall 10, to learn more about their latest innovations.

At the conference, Curetis will introduce its new Unyvero UTI Application Cartridge for rapid syndromic testing of urinary tract infections, expected to receive CE-IVD marking in the near term. This addition complements Curetis’ portfolio of rapid molecular tests for severe infections, including CE-IVD applications for pneumonia (HPN), implant and tissue infections (ITI), bloodstream infections (BCU), intra-abdominal infections (IAI), and the recently U.S.-FDA cleared Unyvero LRT Application for lower respiratory tract infections.

Curetis will also update attendees on the Unyvero A30 RQ Analyzer and its first A30 RQ Application Cartridge, in development with expected CE-IVD marking in 2019. The A30 RQ Analyzer, designed for low- to mid-plex testing, complements the high-plex Unyvero A50 Analyzer, expanding the Unyvero Platform into a modular and flexible ‘any-plex’ solution for rapid molecular diagnostics.

Together with partner MGI Tech Co. Ltd (MGI), Shenzhen, China, Curetis will showcase a next-generation molecular microbiology package for automated detection of microbial pathogens and antibiotic resistance markers using next-generation sequencing (NGS). The sample-to-answer solution integrates MGI’s MGIFLP NGS workstation with Curetis’ sample preparation technology and Ares Genetics’ AMR data analytics. MGI representatives will be present at the booth to discuss the partnership and in-development package.
