São Paulo, Brazil – 24 May 2019 – MGI expanded its presence in Brazil by showcasing its sequencing and laboratory automation platforms at the Hospitalar conference, held from 21–24 May.
At the event, MGI presented its next-generation sequencing technologies alongside local partner Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz), highlighting early adoption in the Brazilian market.
Systems on Display
MGI exhibited a range of sequencing and automation solutions designed to support research and clinical workflows:
MGISEQ-200RS and MGISEQ-2000RS sequencing platforms
MGISP-960 automated sample preparation system
MGIFLP modular NGS workstation
The MGISEQ platforms are based on DNBSEQ™ technology, designed to deliver high data accuracy with reduced duplication rates and improved performance across GC-rich regions.
The MGISP-960 system provides automated sample preparation with flexible workflows, supporting applications across genomics, cell biology, drug discovery, and analytical research.
MGIFLP integrates the full NGS workflow into a single automated system, enabling end-to-end processing from sample preparation through to sequencing output.
MGI’s participation at Hospitalar reflects its continued expansion into international markets and its focus on delivering scalable sequencing and automation solutions for healthcare and life science research.
