SHENZHEN, China and NEW DELHI, India, Sept. 6, 2019 — MGI has announced a partnership with Imperial Life Sciences (ILS), a leading distributor in the Indian life science market, as its exclusive distributor in India. Within the first month of collaboration, the MGI-ILS team has placed several MGI sequencers across India, targeting both clinical diagnostic and research market segments, with plans to expand sales throughout 2019.
Establishing MGI’s First Demo Lab in India
MGI will set up its first demonstration lab at ILS in Gurugram. The lab will feature MGI instruments including the MGISEQ-200 genetic sequencer and the MGISP-100 automated workstation for NGS applications. The demo lab will focus on NIPT, clinical whole-exome sequencing, metagenomics, and cancer panels, while hosting workshops and training sessions for industry and academic leaders. ILS engineers are being trained to provide after-sales support and advanced application training to ensure complete in-country support.
