Tokyo, Japan, 25–27 March 2019 – MGI participated in the 2019 Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology and Agrochemistry (JSBBA) Annual Meeting, presenting its high-throughput sequencing solutions for agricultural research.
At the event, MGI’s sequencing platforms attracted strong interest from Japanese researchers and industry experts. Discussions focused on system performance, application flexibility and the advantages of MGI’s technology in plant and animal genomics. Attendees also recognised MGI’s growing research and development capabilities.
Since 2016, approximately 120 scientific publications in animal and plant research have been generated using MGI sequencing platforms, with a combined impact factor exceeding 570. These studies span applications including whole genome sequencing, resequencing, RNA sequencing, small RNA analysis and single-cell research.
MGI supports agricultural genomics with both high- and medium-throughput sequencing systems, offering flexible read lengths from SE50 to PE150. The portfolio is complemented by a range of DNA, RNA and RAD sequencing kits, along with automated library preparation solutions, enabling efficient workflows for genetic research and molecular breeding.
