25 December 2018, Shanghai, China – MGI Tech Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Nanodigmbio Biotechnology Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Sequencing Summit China 2018 to jointly advance high-quality targeted sequencing solutions.
The collaboration focuses on developing library preparation and target capture packages optimised for MGI sequencing platforms, including the MGISEQ-200, MGISEQ-2000, and MGISEQ-T7. The partnership will also integrate with MGI’s MGISP automation platform, covering the full workflow from library preparation to sequencing.
By combining MGI’s sequencing technology with Nanodigmbio’s expertise in target capture, the two companies aim to expand applications in whole-exome sequencing (WES), cancer analysis, and HLA research, creating a new framework for precision genomics.
Jiang Hui, COO of MGI, and Wu Qiang, General Manager of Nanodigmbio, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations, signalling the start of long-term collaboration in product development, application support, and research innovation.
