Riga, Latvia – October 21, 2022 – MGI Tech Co., Ltd. (MGI) announced the opening of its overseas Customer Experience Centre (CEC Riga) in Riga, Latvia. Located within MGI Latvia, the company’s manufacturing hub for Europe and Africa, CEC Riga serves as a service centre for customers and partners, offering expertise in high-throughput sequencing technology and specialized automation workflows. In addition to demonstration tests, the centre provides validation for third-party product compatibility and functions as a training hub for MGI staff and distributors.

Occupying nearly 150 square meters, CEC Riga is equipped with MGI’s latest products, including sequencers such as DNBSEQ-G50 and DNBSEQ-G400, as well as automation platforms like Smart 8 for DNA/RNA extraction and library construction. With the DNBSEQ-T7 and DNBSEQ-T10x4 already installed at MGI Latvia, CEC Riga showcases the company’s comprehensive offerings and demonstrates its commitment to advancing life science tools.

MGI Latvia, established in 2017 and officially launched in 2019, is the first MGI Customer Experience Centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Over the next 5–10 years, the company plans to develop a one-stop, light-out laboratory manufacturing base to provide advanced technology and opportunities for European manufacturing industries through high-end digital and automation innovation.
With CEC Riga, MGI Latvia offers complete facilities, a highly skilled team, and stringent protocols to support customers in operating MGI instruments and developing expertise in high-throughput sequencing. Nearly 20 training programs are scheduled onsite for the next year, designed to upskill scientists and MGI partners across Europe and Africa. Visitors can expect a high-tech experience, including hands-on product training and workflow demonstrations.
Remarks:
HotMPS sequencing reagent is compatible only with sequencers configured for HotMPS. Use with non-configured sequencers will void warranties and exclude IP indemnity.
Sequencers configured for HotMPS must not be used with CoolMPS or StandardMPS reagents. Use with incompatible reagents risks patent infringement and invalidates warranties.
Availability of HotMPS and related sequencers is limited to selected countries.
