6 January 2019, Hayward, USA – Paragon Genomics and MGI Tech Co., Ltd. announced a global partnership to expand access to integrated next-generation sequencing (NGS) solutions.
Under the agreement, MGI will distribute Paragon Genomics’ CleanPlex NGS target enrichment panels for use with its sequencing platforms worldwide, excluding the United States. In parallel, Paragon Genomics will distribute MGI’s automated sample preparation systems in the United States and Canada.
The collaboration enables a more complete and streamlined sequencing workflow, combining target enrichment, automation and high-throughput sequencing into a single integrated solution. Applications include oncology, reproductive health and infectious disease testing.
Paragon Genomics’ CleanPlex chemistry will be optimised and validated on MGI’s automation platforms, including the MGISP series, supporting high-throughput laboratories with improved efficiency and consistency.

As part of the agreement, Paragon Genomics joins the MGI Compatible Partner Program, with both companies collaborating on global marketing and development initiatives.
