The partnership will focus on multi-omics research advancement, novel sequencing applications, precision medicine development, clinical translation, and AI-driven data insights.
The DCS Lab Project
Under this initiative, JCBio will implement cutting-edge sequencing strategies using MGI’s proprietary short-read and long-read sequencing technologies. The laboratory will serve as a local hub for genomic research, equipped with end-to-end multi-omics capabilities that enable researchers to address complex biological challenges with enhanced precision and efficiency. Key capabilities include integrated multi-omics analyses, innovative sequencing strategies, accelerated precision medicine research, advanced clinical translation, and AI-powered data insights.
About the DCS Lab Initiative
Launched in 2023, MGI’s DCS Lab Initiative represents the company’s first global program targeting international laboratories with a focus on frontier science. The initiative is named after MGI’s three core technologies: DNA genomics, cell omics, and spatial omics. The program has already demonstrated success at MGI’s Customer Experience Centre (CEC) in Australia, where technologies such as DNBelab-C4 for single-cell omics and STOmics Stereo-seq for spatial transcriptomics have driven breakthroughs in cancer research, medicine, and agriculture.
