Under this collaboration, MGI will supply advanced DNBSEQ™ sequencing technology to expand Negedia’s operational and analytical capacity. Negedia has acquired MGI’s DNBSEQ-T7 high-throughput sequencing platform, enabling high-resolution spatial transcriptomic analysis that captures the entire transcriptome—the RNA molecules transcribed from the genome—without compromising tissue integrity. This platform allows Negedia’s researchers to explore disease mechanisms at an unprecedented level, opening new avenues for discovery.

STOmics’ proprietary Stereo-seq (SpaTial Enhanced REsolution Omics-sequencing) technology, distributed by MGI, is revolutionizing spatial multi-omics for scientific research and clinical applications. These include oncology—studying tumour microenvironments and cellular interactions within neoplastic tissues; neuroscience—mapping cellular organization in brain tissues and investigating neurodegenerative diseases; developmental biology and embryology—tracking spatiotemporal gene expression during tissue and organ formation; and precision medicine—identifying new biomarkers for diagnostics and targeted therapies.
Negedia is a Certified Service Provider for Stereo-seq technology, having completed rigorous certification to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability. This process included establishing dedicated laboratories with specialized instruments for STOmics protocols, advanced team training in cryosectioning and sample preparation, and optimization of procedures to deliver consistent, reproducible results.

Stereo-seq offers nanometre-scale resolution and a centimetre-level field of view (up to 13cm x 13cm), far exceeding the detail achievable with standard single-cell analysis. Samples can be examined not only at the cellular level but also within individual cells and even smaller structures.
At the heart of Stereo-seq is its innovative chip design—a silicon chip featuring millions of microscopically and geographically localized points, allowing researchers to precisely locate the origin of specific mRNA molecules.
