San Jose, CA, 25 October 2022 – Complete Genomics, part of MGI, celebrates the US commercial launch of its DNBSEQ™ sequencing product line at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Annual Meeting, taking place from 25–29 October in Los Angeles. MGI is a global life science tool provider delivering lab automation and NGS sequencing platforms worldwide.
Complete Genomics offers a complete NGS solution, including sample extraction, library preparation, automation systems, sequencing platforms, and bioinformatics. Though new to the US market, MGI has been providing NGS sequencers since 2017, with thousands of instruments installed globally. Its latest innovation, DNBSEQ™, is available across all sequencing platforms, eliminating index hopping and clonal errors during sequencing. This makes sequencing more accurate, flexible, and affordable, enhancing throughput and accelerating scientific discoveries.
At ASHG, Complete Genomics is showcasing the DNBSEQ-E25*, DNBSEQ-G400*, DNBSEQ-T7*, and DNBSEQ-T10×4* at the MGI booth (#1803). The DNBSEQ-G400* was introduced in the US in August 2022, with the first units installed in customers’ labs within a week. The DNBSEQ-G400* is a medium-throughput benchtop sequencer (up to 1,440 Gb daily), offering flexible options for research: one or two flow cells, two flow cell types (550M vs 1,800M reads), and read lengths ranging from SE50 to SE400 or PE300.
Upcoming 2023 Sequencers
Throughout 2023, Complete Genomics will continue to expand its product line for labs of all sizes, including:
- DNBSEQ-T7* – An ultra-high-throughput sequencer with four independent flow cells, enabling over 20,000 30X WGS genomes per year. Available from January 2023.
- DNBSEQ-T10×4* – The highest-throughput platform, delivering up to 18 Tb per day and equipped with a robotic arm to streamline sequencing. Available from January 2023.
- DNBSEQ-E25* – A low-throughput portable sequencer (up to 7.5 Gb daily) with built-in bioinformatics. Simple setup allows operation in ten minutes, delivering sample-to-FASTQ results in 20 hours. Launching in Q2 2023.
