Shenzhen, China, 27 April 2022 – MGI, a company committed to being a world-leading life science innovator, today introduced its new commercial sequencing chemistry, HotMPS*. Developed for use on MGI’s DNBSEQ-G400 sequencer**, HotMPS* will be available in selected countries from April 2022.
HotMPS* is built on the combinatorial Probe Anchor Synthesis (cPAS) technology that underpins MGI’s proprietary DNBSEQ™ platform. It inherits DNBSEQ™’s advantages, including low error rate, low duplication rate, and minimal index hopping, while delivering breakthroughs in nucleotide and enzyme chemistry. HotMPS* provides stronger signals, reduced systematic sequence-based errors, and compatibility with commonly used library preparation methods.
Early access collaborators have successfully tested HotMPS* in applications including Whole Genome Sequencing, Whole Exome Sequencing, Transcriptome, and Metagenome Sequencing. Results demonstrated high data quality and accurate variant detection.
