Macao, China, 20 October 2022 — The first China (Macao) International Cultural & Creative Industry Exhibition, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and the 27th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) were held simultaneously in Macao. MGI Imabot, a subsidiary of MGI, showcased its Robotic Ultrasound System, MGIUS-R3, attracting attention from officials including Mr Ho Iat Seng, Chief Executive of the Macao SAR, and Lu Shan, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province.

Mr Ho Iat Seng had the opportunity to operate the MGI Robotic Ultrasound System at the MGI booth. The system, designed to improve access to high-quality medical care in rural and remote areas, allows doctors to perform real-time remote diagnosis and emergency consultations without being physically present with the patient. Mr Ho praised the system’s excellent performance and its sensitive manipulator, which accurately simulates manual operation to replicate expert techniques.

The debut of MGI’s Robotic Ultrasound System at the exhibition highlights China’s advances in telemedicine technology. MGI plans to continue innovating in ultrasound imaging, enhancing teleultrasound capabilities and expanding access to medical resources in underserved regions.
