The award ceremony of the fourth Bloom Cup 5G Application Competition was held in Shenzhen on 4 December. Sponsored by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the event received 12,281 submissions over a three-month selection period. MGI Robotic Ultrasound System, in collaboration with Shenzhen Luohu Hospital Group, won the first prize in the “5G + Smart Healthcare Innovation Application” category.
Promoting Smart Healthcare with 5G Technology
Shenzhen Luohu People’s Hospital has applied the 5G-powered robotic ultrasound system across social health centres, fever clinics, staff physical examinations, and remote assistance, making real-time ultrasound diagnostics more accessible. This award reflects industry recognition for MGI and Luohu Hospital Group’s efforts in advancing smart healthcare solutions.
Employee Health Services and Future Expansion
This year, the hospital used the system to provide remote ultrasonic examinations for MGI employees, creating a “green medical channel” that delivers high-quality medical services directly to the workplace. Plans are underway to extend robotic ultrasound applications to other enterprises and medical examination centres, ensuring broader access to advanced healthcare.
5G Remote Ultrasound Training and Demonstration Base
MGI and Shenzhen Luohu Hospital Group jointly established the “5G Remote Ultrasonic Robot Diagnosis and Treatment Training Demonstration Base”. The platform supports medical associations, public and private hospitals, and physical examination institutions, promoting innovative 5G healthcare technologies and empowering the industry with advanced diagnostic tools.
