At the World Industrial Design Conference 2022, held in mid-November at the International Expo Center in Yantai, Shandong Province, MGI’s remote robotic ultrasound system stood out among nearly 3,200 nominations to earn a place on the shortlist for the China Excellent Industrial Design Award, taking home a bronze prize. This recognition highlights MGI’s technological innovation in medical imaging.
The China Excellent Industrial Design Award, sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is the only national industrial design award in China. Established in 2012 and awarded five times since, it celebrates innovative projects and enterprises across all fields, guiding industrial upgrading and promoting the high-quality development of manufacturing.
At the ceremony, the MGI remote robotic ultrasound system was honoured for its outstanding achievements in medical imaging. Previously, in 2018, the system received the prestigious “German iF Industrial Design Award” for its groundbreaking functionality and cutting-edge design. Since its creation, the robot has been continuously applied in new clinical scenarios and delivered to more than 20 provinces and autonomous regions across China, bringing high-quality medical resources to local communities.
