SHENZHEN, China, 9 September 2022 – MGI Tech Co., Ltd. (MGI) officially launched the DNBSEQ-G99*, the latest gene sequencer* designed for mid-to-low range throughput. Among sequencers* with similar throughput worldwide, DNBSEQ-G99* is one of the fastest, making it ideal for targeted gene sequencing and small genome sequencing, delivering rapid and high-quality data output.

Based on MGI’s DNBSEQ™ core technology, the DNBSEQ-G99* introduces triangular matrix signal spots on the sequencing flow cell for higher data density, achieving an overall throughput of 8–48Gb per run. Early trial runs in China have shown excellent performance, with international reservations opening in early 2023.

King of Speed: Ultra-Rapid G99*
As MGI’s ninth sequencer* model, DNBSEQ-G99* leverages three core technologies for maximum efficiency. Optimized fluid systems and reagents reduce sequencing reaction incubation to seconds instead of minutes. Equipped with a triangular matrix high-density flow cell, self-developed optical equipment, and high-precision temperature control, the sequencer completes PE150 runs within 12 hours. Its dual-flow cell platform can run two PE150 cycles per day, significantly improving sequencing efficiency.

Flexible Sequencing Modes: Rolling + Hybrid Operation
DNBSEQ-G99* inherits the dual-flow cell design of the DNBSEQ-G400*, allowing flexible data output with multiple sequencing modes. Two independent sequencing modules support various read lengths, currently including PE50, SE100, and PE150, with longer reads (SE400, PE300) planned for future reagent kits.

Simplified Operation: Reagent Cartridge & Plug-and-Play Flow Cell
DNBSEQ-G99* features an ultra-simple cassette flow cell with a larger safe holding area. Innovative reagent pre-injection allows preparation with a single press. The integrated design of the reagent and cleaning kits further streamlines operations.

DNBSEQ-G99* is available in two models: one integrates computing modules for automated analysis and localized data storage, while the other supports standardized output for custom analysis. Its clean visual interface allows real-time monitoring of sequencing progress.

High Accuracy and Reliable Performance
Inheriting the DNBSEQ™ platform’s advantages, DNBSEQ-G99* delivers high data accuracy and utilization. Early user testing with standard products shows a sequencing error rate as low as 0.2%. Currently available in China, MGI plans to expand user partnerships internationally.
