HAYWARD, CA – January 6, 2019 – Paragon Genomics, Inc., a leader in amplicon-based target enrichment and library preparation solutions for next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays, today announced a global partnership with MGI Tech Co., Ltd. (MGI). Under the agreement, MGI will distribute Paragon Genomics’ CleanPlex NGS Panels for use with MGI sequencing platforms in all territories worldwide except the U.S. Simultaneously, Paragon Genomics will distribute MGI’s automated sample preparation workstation systems in the U.S. and Canada.
Under the terms of the partnership, MGI will offer CleanPlex Custom and Ready-to-Use NGS Panels for its sequencing platforms, including the ultra-high-throughput MGISEQ-T7 sequencer and future MGI sequencing systems. The CleanPlex MGI NGS Panels will support oncology, reproductive health, infectious disease testing, and additional genomic applications in development.
Paragon Genomics will distribute MGI’s MGISP-100RS, MGISP-960RS, and future automated sample preparation systems in the U.S. and Canada. CleanPlex chemistries will be fully automated and validated on these platforms, providing a complete solution for laboratories processing large sample volumes, including molecular pathology and genetic testing facilities. Paragon Genomics has also joined the MGI Compatible Partner Program as a certified partner. The companies will collaborate on marketing and promotional initiatives to support activities under the agreement.
