São Paulo is where MGI meets Latin America. Our Customer Experience Centre in the heart of Brazil’s commercial capital is the region’s dedicated hub for hands-on discovery, technical training, and genomic collaboration — purpose-built for the researchers, clinicians, and institutions pushing life science forward across the continent. Spanning 270 m² across four specialist lab environments, the São Paulo CEC is the most comprehensively equipped MGI facility in the Southern Hemisphere.

NGS Lab
Get hands-on with MGI's full sequencing range in a live, working environment. From the ultra-high-throughput T7 to the compact E25, every platform is available to explore, test, and validate against your specific workflows.
Automation Lab
Experience the full power of MGI's sample preparation and liquid handling systems — including the SP-960, SP-100, SP-384 and SP-NE32— designed to streamline and scale laboratory operations from end to end.
Insights Lab
Step into bioinformatics. The BIT Lab is equipped with MGI's ZTRON Pro data processing platform and the MegaBOLT bioinformatics accelerator series, enabling you to see how raw sequencing data is transformed into actionable insight.
Engineering Lab

MGI's Gateway to Latin America
The São Paulo CEC isn’t just a demonstration facility — it’s MGI’s operational hub for the entire Latin American region. Our local team supports expansion and partnerships across Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, and beyond. Key application areas include precision medicine, oncology, agrigenomics, and metagenomics — reflecting the diverse and rapidly evolving research landscape across the region. The CEC also actively supports Brazil’s national genomic sequencing initiatives, including programmes targeting rare diseases and hereditary cancers.
