MGI has launched a new benchtop sequencing lab featuring the portable DNBSEQ E series and the modular DNBelab D series. These fully dry, compact systems offer standalone or stackable modular versions, giving users unprecedented flexibility for library preparation and sequencing throughput.
Stackable, expandable, and flexible
The modular versions share a single screen and console server, forming a “super-sequencing magic cube.” Users can mix and match cubes based on throughput needs, enabling simultaneous, random-access sequencing without waiting for other runs to finish.
Combinations are flexible: for example, one DNBelab D generating 4 libraries can be paired with 2 DNBSEQ E sequencers if the sequencing throughput is lower than the library preparation capacity. Users can also expand only DNBelab D or only DNBSEQ E, depending on their workflow requirements.
One-stop sequencing workflow
The benchtop sequencing lab offers an intuitive interface, reducing hands-on time to under 10 minutes. Complete DNA sequencing reports can be produced in just 8 hours. Applications include basic research, clinical testing such as tumor genetics and reproductive health, pathogen identification, environmental studies, field surveys, and on-site forensic analysis.
