Recently, MGI Tech Co., Ltd. and AmCare Genomics Laboratory signed a strategic cooperation agreement to advance the clinical application of single-gene genetic disease testing. Through this partnership, AmCare Genomics Laboratory will develop a comprehensive end-to-end solution for genetic testing of single-gene disorders based on MGI’s high-throughput sequencing platform.
Expanding Clinical Applications in Genetic Disease Diagnostics

Supporting Large-Scale Genetic Disease Testing
AmCare Genomics Laboratory is the first third-party clinical genetic testing service organisation in China to obtain three internationally recognised clinical genetic accreditations. The collaboration also marks AmCare’s role as an ecosystem partner within MGI’s DNBSEQ™ sequencing platform network.
Genetic diseases cover a broad spectrum of conditions and require the detection of a large number of genes, placing high demands on sequencing data output and quality. MGI’s high-throughput sequencing platforms, including the DNBSEQ-G400 sequencing system and the ultra-high-throughput DNBSEQ-T7 sequencing system, provide the performance and scalability needed to support these applications.
Through this strategic cooperation, MGI and AmCare Genomics Laboratory aim to strengthen genetic disease testing capabilities and contribute to improved prevention and control of birth defects in China.
