Qingdao, Shenzhen, 7 September 2022 — The 17th Annual Meeting of the International Conference on Genomics (ICG-17), a premier gathering for leaders in genomics to share knowledge and insights, is taking place from 5–7 September in Qingdao, China. At the event, MGI introduces its mass production base for the latest miniaturized gene sequencer, DNBSEQ-E25*.
As the flagship model of MGI’s E series, DNBSEQ-E25* was officially launched in August 2022 in China and is expected to be available in the U.S. market from 1 January 2023. Combining miniaturization, portability, and usability, DNBSEQ-E25* leverages DNBSEQ™ technology to improve data utilization, accuracy, flexibility, and sensitivity in variation detection. The device is now in mass production at MGI’s Qingdao facility.
MGI Qingdao Mass Production Base
Spanning over 30,000 square metres, the MGI Qingdao Mass Production Base was officially put into operation in May 2021. It enables rapid mass production of the DNBSEQ-E25* sequencer. The site also houses an automated multi-module sequencing enzyme reagents production line, independently designed by MGI, and an automated ultra-low-temperature biobank co-developed with AUCMA, supporting full life-cycle management of samples.
*Unless otherwise informed, StandardMPS and CoolMPS sequencing reagents, and sequencers for use with such reagents, are not available in Germany, Spain, UK, Hong Kong, Sweden, Belgium, Italy, Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Portugal, Austria, and Romania. No purchase orders for StandardMPS products will be accepted in the USA until after 1 January 2023.
