Nanning, China, 10–13 September 2021 – MGI showcased a series of innovative platforms at the 18th China-ASEAN Expo, which opened on 10 September in Nanning, China.

At the event, MGI presented multiple platforms, including:

MGISP-960 High-throughput Automated Sample Preparation System, an efficient and widely used automated sample preparation system.

MGISTP-7000 High-throughput Automated Sample Transfer Processing System, designed to significantly improve nucleic acid testing capability.

MGISP-NE384 High-throughput Automated Nucleic Acid Extractor.

DNBSEQ-G50, a compact and flexible benchtop genetic sequencer.

Automation platforms attracting global attention

MGI’s proprietary platforms and technologies made a strong appearance at the 18th China-ASEAN Expo and attracted significant attention from major Chinese media outlets, including China National Radio (CNR) and China News Service.

Improving efficiency in nucleic acid testing

MGI’s automation systems can automatically complete barcode identification, tube decapping, liquid transfer and tube recapping, simplifying some of the most labour-intensive and time-consuming procedures in testing laboratories.

The MGISTP-7000 high-throughput automated sample transfer processing system can process up to 6,000 samples per day. The MGISP-NE384 high-throughput automated nucleic acid extractor uses magnetic rod technology and can process up to 10,000 samples per day with a single unit.

The MGISP-960 high-throughput automated sample preparation system is a flexible, fully automated workstation equipped with a 96-channel pipette head. It can process 192 samples in 80 minutes and can be configured to meet the different testing needs of healthcare authorities.

In addition, one laboratory technician can operate up to three instruments simultaneously within a safe working environment.
